What is a LUT and why do I need one?
A LUT (Look-Up Table) is a mathematical formula that transforms colors in your video or photo. It's used by professionals to achieve consistent, cinematic color grades across projects. lutgen.app lets you create custom LUTs by simply describing the look you want.
Which software supports the LUTs I create?
Our LUTs work with all major editing software including DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One, and many more. We export in industry-standard formats.
Can I use the LUTs for commercial projects?
Yes! All LUTs you generate are licensed for both personal and commercial use. You can use them in client work, YouTube videos, films, and any other creative projects.
How many LUTs can I generate?
Free trial users get 3 generations. Starter plan includes 100 generations per month. Pro users enjoy unlimited generations. Unused generations do not roll over to the next month.
What's the difference between LUT formats?
.cube is the most universal format supported by almost all software. .3dl is used by Autodesk products. .look is specifically for Final Cut Pro. .xmp and .lrtemplate are presets for Adobe Lightroom. Pro users can export in all formats.
Are my uploaded images stored?
Images are temporarily processed to generate previews and are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Pro users with storage enabled can choose to save images to their account.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
You'll retain access to your current plan until the end of your billing period. After that, you'll be moved to the free tier. Your saved LUTs remain accessible, but you won't be able to generate new ones beyond the free limit.

Yes, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans. If you're not satisfied, contact support within 14 days of your purchase for a full refund.
